A graduate looking for a job in PR? An experienced account manager looking for a step up the ladder? Below is a selection of sites where vacancies in PR jobs can be regularly found. The job market is an extremely competitive one, particularly for graduates, and sadly the outlets for PR vacancies are limited. However, growth in the industry and the rapid labour turnover of many consultancies ensures that there are regularly new opportunities available.

Public Relations

The industry trade body is partnered with PR Week, so you get a very similar selection of opportunities. Occasionally throws up the odd internal position.

Usually more marketing and public relations orientated, this site occasionally includes high level appointments, but usually shoots around the £20-50k bracket.

Graduate Jobs Network - www.graduatejobsnet.co.uk

Describes itself as "The easiest way to find your next graduate job", this site contains around 10,000 vacancies altogether and more often than not there's one or two PR opportunities out there.

Jobradipo - www.jobrapido.co.uk

Jobrapido aids job seekers' efforts to find a job by enabling users to search through a wide variety of job vacancies posted on UK websites. Searches for PR reliably provide positions of possible interest, though they are typically listed on other well-known sources.

The industry rag is always a good source of industry gossip, but is also a very reliable jobs outlet and includes a handy place to create a job profile for yourself. Does email job alerts.

Prospects - www.prospects.ac.uk

"Prospects - The Official Graduate Careers Website - the best way to find graduate jobs, postgraduate courses and graduate careers advice." Always a good bet for a few useful contacts and some basic information.

The Graduate - www.thegraduate.co.uk

The Public Relations Consultants' Association does boast a job board on its site, but it is not updated especially regularly. Does have some details on internships though, including the ongoing PRCA internship scheme.
